Garrick D. Conner, LPC-S, LMFT-S, CSAT, CMAT
Hello.
I’ve been a therapist for more than 25 years, but I still believe one of the most important parts of good therapy is pretty simple: you need to feel comfortable with the person sitting across from you.
Credentials matter. Experience matters. Training matters. But so do trust, honesty, humor, and the sense that you can be yourself without having to perform.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with additional specialized training in couples therapy, trauma, sexual addiction, and recovery. Over the years, I’ve worked in outpatient clinics, residential treatment, foster care services, church settings, and private practice.
I care a lot about doing excellent work, but I don’t pretend to have all the answers. Therapy, at its best, is collaborative. I’ll bring training, experience, curiosity, and honesty to the room. I’ll ask you to bring the same.
I also believe life has a way of humbling all of us. I’ve been married for many years, raised two children, changed careers, made mistakes, apologized, asked forgiveness, and learned plenty of things the hard way. No class or professional training has taught me as much about real life as actually living it.
Outside the office, I enjoy travel, hiking, photography, playing piano, college football and baseball, and time with family and friends. Montana is still my happy place, and I’m always looking for a reason to go back.
If we work together, I’ll ask two things of you: be honest, and be willing to do the work. And if something in therapy isn’t helping, tell me. I’d much rather have an honest conversation and adjust course than keep doing something that isn’t useful.
Whatever has brought you here, I hope you’ll come to appreciate my simple but sincere focus:
Honest conversations. Meaningful change.
