Helping Someone Find Help

Good referrals begin with good relationships.

I know that recommending a counselor is something you take seriously. Whether you’re a pastor, physician, fellow therapist, or someone trying to help a friend or family member, you want to know that the person you’re referring will be treated with care and respect.

I appreciate that trust.

This page offers a little information about the people I work with, the services I provide, and how to make a referral.

When might I be a good referral?

Finding the right counselor for someone isn’t always easy.

I work with adults (18+) facing a variety of personal and relational challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, attachment wounds, and difficult life transitions.

My areas of specialized experience include:

  • Men’s Issues & Recovery: Helping men navigate emotional disconnection, compulsive sexual behavior, problematic pornography use, shame, and the challenges of building healthier relationships.
  • Couples & Relationships: Working with couples experiencing communication difficulties, emotional distance, infidelity, betrayal, and the complicated process of rebuilding trust.
  • Individual Counseling: Helping adults better understand themselves, work through emotional challenges, and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s difficulties.

I offer in-person counseling in Bryant, Arkansas, as well as telehealth services for clients physically located in Arkansas and Texas.

You’re welcome to explore my Services, Men’s Issues & Recovery, and Couples & Relationships pages for more information about my work.

How can I refer someone?

The simplest way to refer someone is to share my name, website, and contact information with them.

I believe seeking counseling is an important personal decision, and whenever possible, I encourage prospective clients to take that first step themselves.

They can visit garrickdconner.com to learn more about my practice and use the Request a Consultation form to reach out directly.

You don’t need to complete paperwork or send me confidential information on someone’s behalf. And there’s no need to share details about their circumstances without an appropriate reason and authorization.

If you’re uncertain whether my services would be a good fit for someone you’re hoping to help, I’m happy to connect with you to discuss my areas of practice and general referral considerations.

My goal is to make the process straightforward for everyone involved.

Let’s connect!

If you’re considering referring someone or would simply like to get acquainted, I’d welcome the conversation. I’m always glad to build relationships with others who care about helping people get the support they need.
